New Milton Town FC returned to action at their home ground Fawcetts Field in a friendly on Tuesday night, defeating Holt United FC 5-0.
The team have had little game time of late due to postponed fixtures after a period of snow and bad weather across the country but returned to action in this friendly.
New Milton currently sit in mid table in the Sydenhams Wessex League Division 1, occupying 9th position with 36 points in 26 games.
Their last competitive league fixture was 17th February 2018, where The Linnets were victorious 2-1 away at Fawley.
In this friendly, the Linnets dominated from the outset and led 2-0 at half time, before going on to inflict further damage on the side, who are playing in the league below, in the second half.

Speaking after the game, Assistant Manager Phil Brown said: “We played some really good football at times. We moved the ball around quickly and the difference in leagues showed
“I was glad that we got a game in, what with all the bad weather. Overall it was a very good performance.”
New Milton will return to competitive action next Wednesday when they face Totton & Eling FC in their next Wessex League Division 1 fixture.
