Welcome along to Nerve Sport’s LIVE coverage of England’s clash with Montenegro! After the Three Lions’ emphatic victory against the Czech Republic in their first Euro 2020 qualifier, can Gareth Southgate’s side make it two wins from two at Podgorica City Stadium?

Starting 11: Pickford, Walker, Maguire, Keane, Rose, Rice, Barkley, Alli, Hudson-Odoi, Sterling, Kane.

Subs: Heaton, Butland, Trippier, Henderson, Tarkowski, Chilwell, Ward-Prowse, Sancho, Wilson.

Starting 11: Petkovic, Stojkovic, Savic, Simic, Tomasevic, Marusic, Ivanic, Vukcevic, Vesovic, Beciraj, Mugosa.

KICK OFF | We’re under way here at the Podgorica City Stadium!

5 MINS | Sterling tries to latch on to a Danny Rose through ball but Stojkovic gets his body in front of the Manchester City winger to earn a foul. Good defending from the full back.

7 MINS | England earn a corner down the right and Callum Hudson-Odoi’s outswinging cross is met by the head of Harry Maguire, but his header sails over the Montenegro goal.

10 MINS | The Three Lions have dominated the opening ten minutes here but the home side have kept their shape very well thus far. England currently have a free kick 35 yards from goal…

11 MINS | CLOSE! What a neat bit of footwork from Sterling!  The winger rides two challenges in the penalty area before looking for Kane in the middle, but Savic puts in a vital interception to stop the England skipper having a sniff.

18 MINS | GOAL FOR MONTENEGRO, WOW! Completely against the run of the play and with the home side’s first attack of the game, they have the lead! Marko Vesovic latches on to a knock on from Tomasevic down the left and gets a bit of luck with a deflection off Michael Keane in the build up, but finishes very well just inside the box, beating Pickford with assurance with a strike into the far right corner. England look stunned!

22 MINS | England look to respond immediately as Hudson-Odoi looks to pick out Kane with a fine cross, but Montenegro skipper Stefan Savic is there again to intervene. A manic few minutes here at the Podgorica!

26 MINS | Gareth Southgate’s men seem very rocked now heading towards the half hour mark, they were completely caught out with the goal and it’s given Montenegro a massive lift here!

30 MINS | GOAL FOR ENGLAND! Just the response Southgate would have wanted here! Kyle Walker wins a free kick on the right flank following a tussle with Vesovic, leaving Ross Barkley with a chance to whip the ball in. The Chelsea man whips in a cross towards the back post and Michael Keane is there to leap above his marker and firmly plant a header past Petkovic. Game on here!

35 MINS | Close from England! Hudson-Odoi does brilliantly down the left as he beats two diving challenges, before looping a ball over the top of the Montenegro defense towards Sterling who looks to set up Kane on the knock down, however the ball is cleared before Kane can wrap his foot around the ball. England pressing here!

39 MINS | GOAL FOR ENGLAND!!! 2-1!! Again absolutely brilliant from Hudson-Odoi, who drives Stojkovic towards his own goal before getting a shot away. However as the shot appears to be going wide, Barkley floats in between the two centre backs and guides the ball past Petkovic, who couldn’t react quick enough. Great turn around by Gareth Southgate’s men!

45 MINS | Chance for the home side here! Vesovic breaks free down England’s right and works a ball to Mugosa just outside the box. The Montenegro striker works a shot that’s deflected out for a corner…

A great turn around here by England, who fell behind on the 17th minute mark to a fine curling Vesovic strike. However goals from Michael Keane and Ross Barkley restored England’s authority in the space of ten minutes here at the Podgorica Stadium…stay with us for second half coverage!

SECOND HALF | We’re back underway here!

48 MINS | The first chance of the half goes to Montenegro here as Beciraj gets his first sniff of the England goal, but his shot sails high and wide of Pickford’s bar.

50 MINS | Over from Sterling! Danny Rose works some space down the left flank and sends a looping cross towards the back post, but Tomasevic just puts off Sterling’s sight of the ball and the winger drills the ball over Petkovic’s bar.

51 MINS | It’s chance after chance here at the moment! Hudson-Odoi again rides a combination of challenges and cuts in on his favored right foot. The young wide man does brilliantly and places a strike to Petkovic’s left, but the Montenegro gloveman gets down well to tip the ball wide.

52 MINS | The first booking of the game goes to Ross Barkley, who’s cautioned for dissent. A mere thirty seconds later the home side work a chance in the England penalty area and Beciraj puts an effort just past Pickford’s left hand post. An entertaining start to the second half here!

59 MINS | GOAL FOR ENGLAND!!! The away side make it 3-1 here and it’s Ross Barkley who’s grabbed his second of the contest! Sterling receives the ball on the far right and cuts in to the box, taking on and beating Tomasevic. His initial cross is blocked, but the winger works another opening and feeds Barkley who places firmly past Petkovic who stood no chance. England in a very commanding position now.

64 MINS | Southgate makes his first change of the match as Jordan Henderson replaces Dele Alli, who’s had a quiet evening in England’s midfield.

67 MINS | Sterling bundles into the back of Vesovic on the edge of England’s penalty area and gives away a free kick in a dangerous position. However the eventual strike can’t beat the Three Lions’ wall.

71 MINS | ANOTHER GOAL FOR ENGLAND, KANE MAKES IT 4!!! Absolutely devastating from England there. Barkley sends Sterling away through the middle with a delightful through ball; the City man then cuts in front of Tomasevic before squaring to Harry Kane in the middle who simply couldn’t miss. A brilliant counter attack from Gareth Southgate’s men and the skipper has his goal for the night, England now in cruise control.

79 MINS | England are now just seeing the game out, keeping the ball when they can and working the home side around the pitch. A very professional second half performance from the Three Lions and Southgate will no doubt be very pleased at how his side have approached the last 45 minutes of the game.

80 MINS | GOALLL! IT’S 5 FOR ENGLAND!! Raheem Sterling gets his goal for the evening and it’s well deserved. Henderson receives the ball in midfield before playing a precise ball through the Montenegro back line, splitting full back and centre back. Sterling sees the gap and collects the ball before placing the ball through the legs of Petkovic. It’s 5 for Southgate’s England side and a five star second half performance!

81 MINS | The goal sees Callum Wilson replace Harry Kane and James Ward-Prowse replace Ross Barkley, who’s had an excellent game today.

90 MINS | Substititute Bolijevic gets sent down England’s left hand side and looks to float a ball into the middle, but his cross evades everyone and goes out for a goal kick. 3 minutes of added time here.

92 MINS | Rose flies in on Marusic and receives a caution. Very unnecessary from the Spurs full back there and that follows a Henderson booking after a confrontation with Bolijevic.

An outstanding second half display from England there following an early second half scare. Marko Vesovic curled an assured effort beyond Pickford on the 17th minute mark to put a possible shock on the cards; however two quick fire goals from Keane and Barkley put the Three Lions ahead at half time. The away side then controlled the game from that point onwards and goals from Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and another from Ross Barkley saw England come away with a 5-1 win. Gareth Southgate’s side have now scored five in two consecutive games and have made a brilliant start to their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign.
