Bournemouth Cruiserweight Chris Billam-Smith has been added to Friday’s JD NXTGEN bill at Nottingham Arena live on Sky Sports.
The 28-year-old will face Moroccan journeyman Yassine Habachi (5-13-5) in his first fight since his victory over Kent Kauppinen in December, in a bid to shed off some ring rust ahead of his bout with fellow prodigy Richard Riakporhe in July.
The news comes after it was announced last week that the ‘The Gentleman’ will clash with South London’s Riakporhe on the undercard of Dillian Whyte’s heavyweight showdown with Oscar Rivas. The bout will take place as part of a huge card at the O2 arena on July 20th live on Sky Sports Box Office, with Riakporhe’s WBA inter-continental title on the line.
Billam-Smith (8-0-0) will look to match Riakporhe’s unblemished record (9-0-0) when he steps into the ring on Friday on the undercard of Jordan Gill’s WBA international featherweight defence against Enrique Tinoco.
Stay tuned to Nerve Sport for all the build up to Chris Billam-Smith vs Richard Riakporhe.
