Howe: “We need to guard against complacency and make sure that we keep performing. Today we went with our way against theirs and that didn’t work out, but in both games we were competitive. It was more so their quality of play rather than our tactics.”
Howe: “I felt as a team there were some really good passages of play but perhaps the final pass wasn’t good enough.”
Howe: “We got the ball in really good positions but couldn’t capitalise. The free kick ends the game.”
Eddie Howe: “From our perspective I’m slightly disappointed. They are a very difficult side to chase the game against, especially as they are so good on the counter attack.”
Conte: “After defeat against Crystal Palace it shows we can drop points and we could have done here at Bournemouth. We have to take it game by game and concentrate because Tottenham has great desire to win the title.”
Conte: “When you play after your opponent (Spurs) it adds pressure, but I’m very happy to deal with this situation, I like the pressure.”
Antonio Conte: “We suffered a blip after conceding the goal but we responded in the second half against a really good team, with good organisation and a good coach. We must be pleased with a good result.”
