Nerve Radio was nominated for 3 awards at last week’s Student Radio Association nomination party.

The news comes after just one nomination last year for Nerve for Best Branding.

Connor’s Corner, run by our very own Station Manager Connor Morrin, was nominated for Best Specialist Show.

Station Manager Connor Morrin was one of six nominees.

Our Student Chart Show was nominated for best chart show, and Chuck Adolphy was nominated for Best Newcomer.

The nominees were announced across the country at various Student Radio Association Training Day’s, with members of Nerve attending the South East Day in Winchester, hosted by their student radio station ‘Sound‘.

Last Year’s Chart Show was presented by Jeremy Clarke, Tomas De La Rosa, and Elliot Darby.

The announcements were met with loud cheers by the attending members of the Nerve committee, which included nominee Connor Morrin.

Nerve has previously won a Bronze Award for Best Female Presenter with Laurie Charlesworth in 2015, as well as a Silver Award for Best Interview with ‘Michael Does Wagner’.

Nerve also won a Gold Award in 2014 for Best Entertainment Programme, run by Sean Montague and Emily Sandford.

Laurie now works for Vibe FM, Emily for Capital FM, and Sean works Freelance for a host of Global stations.

Chuck Adolphy became notorious after his various antics during Nerve FM.

The awards, hosted by the Student Radio Association and supported by Radio 1 and Global, will be held on November 9th at the O2 in London.
