On the 8th of November, American voters will select their next President.

Currently, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton leads in the polls with 45 points, but the Republican candidate Donald Trump follows close behind with 44 points.

It is common towards the end of an election for polling results to tighten, but it is yet unclear which candidate will become the next President of the United States.

In late October, the Democratic candidate was leading in the polls with 51 points, but fell rapidly to 47 points. She has recently been under investigation by the FBI.

While she was Secretary of State, Clinton had allegedly used a private email server to handle classified government documents. The investigation began shortly before the election, and has resulted in concern from voters.

Nevertheless, numerous celebrities and government officials have endorsed the former First Lady. The list of her supporters includes: Robert Downey Jr., Jennifer Aniston, former President Jimmy Carter, and current President, Barack Obama.

Trump has also been the subject of multiple scandals throughout his campaign, but holds strong in the polls. In the past several months, multiple women have come forward to accuse him of sexual harassment and assault.

The millionaire businessman’s policies inspire many conservative American voters, but still face criticism from many Republican government officials. Mr. Trump’s relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin is believed to be a potential benefit if he should be elected into office.

As the last day of the election draws near, the world waits in anticipation for the announcement of the next American President. While it is still too early to determine which candidate will be elected, it is obvious that the results will be close.
