WE’RE RECRUITING COMMITTEE MEMBERS FOR 2018/19.

As many of us move on to new challenges, we need YOU to help keep Nerve looking and sounding great. Nerve is a fantastic addition to your CV and an amazing part of your university experience so make sure you get involved.

Apply for a committee role below for either Radio, TV, Magazine, News or the website. Successful applicants will be announced at our annual Nerve Awards which is hosted at The Old Fire Station on May 22nd 2018.

Nerve Now is Bournemouth University’s hub for online news, entertainment, lifestyle and fashion pieces. We’re constantly on the ball when it comes to interesting features, interviews, reviews and every article in-between. This is where you can have your say on whatever you want. Whether you want to try your hand at growing our social media accounts, interview your favourite band or investigate something you’ve had your eye on, Nerve Now is here to support, guide and make your ideas come to fruition.

You can be part of the team, producing some of the hottest features pieces about what students care about, to grabbing tickets to the hottest gigs in town and writing reviews, there’s something for everyone to do for one of Nerve’s monthly issues.

Nerve Radio is Bournemouth Universities Student Radio Station. Nerve is a blank canvas for creativity and experimenting. We offer a platform for students to try something new, if anyone has an interest in being in on the radio, it is Nerves responsibility to help them out as much as possible. Our target audience is our students, we have to cater to what they want or what we believe they would like to hear. Nerve is funded by SUBU (Student Union of Bournemouth University), we work closely with SUBU, bouncing ideas back and forward to put on events which will help benefit the radio and the students. Overall, Nerve is a place for fun and meeting new people who all share similar interests and passions. It is more of a community then a radio station with a contagious atmosphere.

Nerve TV is SUBU’s in house student television station; creating new and innovative videos/programs for students, as well as providing coverage of events across the university. There are a huge range of opportunities for you to get involved with to build on your skills, boost your video portfolio, or take up something exciting and new. With 5 departments including Entertainment, Events, News, Studio and Sport; there are always projects to work on.

Nerve News is where you’ll find out about everything going on in Bournemouth whether that’s the Chuckle Brothers coming down to Halo or a match preview of a Cherries game. We cover politics, sports and entertainment so that means whatever your interest is you have a place with News. Nerve News works alongside all other departments of Nerve so you get to try your hand at online, radio and TV. It doesn’t matter your degree – all you need is a positive attitude and a willingness to try new things. This is your chance to speak out to an audience so don’t let your voice go to waste. The Nerve Tech team help manage and maintain all the equipment that SUBU’s student media department use. This includes the website you are currently using, the audio streaming server that you listen to Nerve Radio on and the studio that the radio broadcast from.
