Let’s take a quick look at some of the incredible fashion at the Oscars as the world’s finest movie stars gathered again this year on the 28th of February in Hollywood, Los Angeles, to celebrate the biggest and best films. Celebs amped up the glitz and glamour to show of the best fashion pieces designers have to offer, with nominees and winners alike all impressing in their beautiful designer gowns, making the Academy Awards one of the biggest nights for fashion in the year.

Winners: Best Supporting Actress Alicia Vikander looked adorable in a custom embellished yellow gown by Louis Vuitton; who has also just become the new face of Louis Vuitton.
Winner of Best Actor (FINALLY!) Leonardo DiCaprio looked as handsome as always in a traditional black Giorgio Armani Tuxedo. The focus fell heavy on Leo this year as he was the favourite to win the award for Best Actor, and the Academy did not disappoint. Leo received his first Academy Award, 12 years after being nominated for the first time. Check out some highlights from the night and click here!
There were many with beautiful gowns, and although they did not win any awards, they definitely won over our hearts with their beautiful dresses.
Honourable Mentions: Cate Blanchett looked regal in a beautiful light blue, floral gown by Armani Privé, an outfit considered one of the best of the evening.
Saoirse Ronan had arguably one of the best looks of the night with an Emerald Green Calvin Klein gown, shimmering right down to the ground. Elegant and graceful.
Nominee, Jennifer Lawrence wowed us again with a beautiful gothic couture Dior gown covered in lace embellishments.
Second-time Best Actor Nominee Eddie Redmayne looked dapper donning a black tuxedo by Alexander McQueen.
Margot Robbie also impressed with a gold Tom Ford dress, making her look as beautiful as ever. Check out some more snaps of the actress from the evening here.
And lastly, Lady Gaga who went for an unusual outfit, wearing a gown/trouser piece by designer Brandon Maxwell, and pulled it off brilliantly.
Hit and miss? Some gowns although wowed some, did not impress others. The first being Kate Winslet’s shiny black gown by Ralph Lauren; the respected actress failed to impress some fashion fans with this dress, but she still holds a top spot in our hearts for being one of our favourite actresses.
All in all, the Oscars did not fail to impress us fashion lovers with beautiful gowns and suits. We are all eagerly waiting to see what the night will bring next year.
