As Christmas approaches, the rush to find the perfect presents for your loved ones is intensifying. Being students, we don’t exactly have a lot of money to spare- especially around the festive period as most of us wait for the second loan to drop.
But have no fear, I’ll be revealing all the best deals for presents on the market right now. Whether you want to splash the cash, or save your pennies this Christmas.
Boots have a range of selected beauty gift sets available for both males and females: from Ted Baker scents to Soap and Glory Make up sets, each varying in price. If you have a sister who has recently discovered makeup, or a friend that is yet to try a selected brand, the Benefit “Gimme Some Sugar” set (RRP £39.50) could be the perfect gift. Containing four full sized Benefit makeup products, this set would ordinarily cost a whopping £96.50 if you purchased them individually. However, this Christmas, Boots are offering this set for £57- what a bargain!
The beauty and fragrance gift sets from Boots do also come at lower prices. For example, the “Dove Men+Care Trio Gift Set” (RRP £9.00), which includes three full sized products. A perfect stocking filler for any male in your life, right?
As well as these cracking deals, Boots offer a massive 3 for 2 deal over the festive period, meaning if you buy three selected gift sets you get the cheapest one free. If I were you, I’d be running to Boots right now!
All round British retailer Next, is home to various clothing items, ranging from smart to casual wear. As well as beauty ranges and top brands, they pretty much have it all!
In the cold winter months we’re all desperately in need to keep warm, and let’s face it, it wouldn’t be Christmas without a new set of pyjamas, and Next have the answer to your prayers. There are a variety of lounge wear options across a range of budgets.
These “Grey Star Pyjamas with Ribbon Wrapping” (RRP £18) are the perfect gift for females to keep them cosy this Christmas, and sparkling like the star that they are! If the receiver of your gift isn’t really a pyjama person, Next also offer a large range of dressing gowns- and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a dressing gown? In the male section, the “Signature Towelling Robe “ (RRP£48) is on special offer. This robe comes in a range of colours, navy, burgundy and grey, allowing you to be adaptive to the preferences of your gift receiver.
Ultimately, you can’t go wrong with buying lounge wear for Christmas. At this time of year we are prone to cosy nights while snuggling up with your loved ones, so this present is always a winner.
For those who like to think outside the box, an alternative gift is a spa day. This is the perfect gift for someone who deserves to be spoiled and pampered over the festive period. There are many places where you can purchase spa packages. For example, the website called Virgin Experiences has a dedicated section entitled “Spa Days”, which lists a number of spa packages retailing at differing prices.
One example is the “Marriott Indulgent Spa Day with Treatment for Two” (RRP £70). To make it even better, the package is valid for a whole year after purchase! Although this might immediately scream expensive, it’s a gift that will create memories that will last a life time.
If, like most of us, your budget can’t quite stretch this far, the cosmetics company Lush has got you covered. Offering a range of beauty products, from bath bombs to lip scrubs, they can help to provide a stay at home spa day for more than half the price! Around this time of year, Lush are known for their infamous limited-edition Christmas box sets. One of these sets, entitled “Best Wishes” (RRP £18.95), includes three full sized products: their “Golden Wonder” bath bomb, “Cinders” shower gel and “Puddy Holly” bubbleroon.
This particular Lush set can work for both genders, encouraging anyone to unwind and pamper themselves in the comfort of their own home. Not to mention that the packaging is truly irresistible!
I hope that I’ve given you some inspiration of what you can buy your loved ones this Christmas.
All that’s left to say is… Merry Christmas and Happy new year!
