Eating out is normally something of a luxury, but many places in Bournemouth offer deals that ensure you will never have to turn down a delicious meal with your mates.
Bournemouth restaurants, whether they’re chains or independent joints all offer some kind of deal so you will never have to pay full price. For some, you need an NUS card or an A-List card, but others reward you for simply turning up! These restaurant deals will mean your life (and your diet) will never be the same again. You’re very truly welcome.
This is the big boy: deals for days so you can definitely never ever say ‘nah, I haven’t got enough money.’ It would be a lie, because this place is super cheap.
Now pay close attention….
MONDAY – Burgers for a QUID! Yeah, starting strong here. All you have to do is buy a burger full price, and the second one is £1… Mind boggling because… I mean one measly QUID!
TUESDAYS – HP hosts a quiz, costing you just £1 per person, but the fun doesn’t stop there because you can get £2.50 house doubles and mixer all night. Yeah, it just gets better.
WEDNSDAY – 1kg of chicken wings… a whole kilo for just £10, plus they’re continuing their £2.50 house double deal and you get free entertainment in the form of their Bournemouth-famous open mic night.
THURSDAY – What is better than a curry? Curry and a pint. Yep, all day on Thursdays.
FRIDAY – 241 Cocktails, get your girls and your guys and get down there because there is truly no excuse. Play some pool upstairs or dance on the d-floor to their alternative DJs.

60 Million Postcards
As mentioned in our Top 5 Bournemouth Bar Guide, 60 Million Postcards has the best vibes and is a great place to get a drink. However, they go one step further. 241 Tuesdays offers buy one get one free burgers, fried chicken and half chickens, so you and your friend(s) can split the bill. It’s a great place to hang out with your new friends, and you’ll get brownie points for finding their new favourite spot. Don’t miss out on their free music events, which you can find here.
Oh, and the portions are bloody massive.
Who says you have to have dessert where you ate? Or that you can’t go out for just dessert? Sprinkles Gelato is your sugar rush dream and is a great place to go and overload on the good stuff. There is one in Winton (Wimbourne Road) and on Holdenhurst Road, so most of you freshers will easily be able to roll yourselves home.
Crazy student discounts, buy one get one free drinks and cheap coffee and cake. Be sure to grab yourself a coupon booklet for extra deals and offers.
No deals here, but this place is delicious, offers a huge selection of free-from alternatives (vegans included) and you’ll simply be unable to stop thinking about it for weeks after. Lola’s tapas is a way of life, and trust me you will keep going back for more.
So never tell me you’re too broke to go out, Fresher. It’s a way of life – get used to it. You’ve got 3 years ahead of you. Enjoy the little things and let your hair down. Eat too much food out and drink too much in Cameo. Lie to your parents about your bank balance. We’re all broke. Soon you will be, too.
