Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Opening Week

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opened in cinemas around the world this week.

The film adaptation of J.K. Rowling‘s book, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, has captivated Harry Potter fans since it was announced in 2014. This is J.K. Rowling’s screenwriting debut.

The film was directed by David Yates, and was produced by J.K Rowling and David Heyman. This magical story is brought to life by actors and actresses such as Eddie Redmayne, Colin Farrell, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Samantha Morton, and Ezra Miller.

The newest tale from the world of Harry Potter follows the adventures of Newt Scamander, a British wizard and author, in 1926 New York. Newt returns from a journey to document the various magical beasts of the world.

He would later write the textbook Harry Potter and his classmates would study in school. On a stopover in America, Newt becomes entangled with Aurors, No-Majs (American word for Muggle; people with no magical abilities), and the magical creatures he keeps in an enchanted suitcase.

When he loses his suitcase, Newt chases the magical beasts with the help of No-Maj, Jacob Kowalski, and witch and Auror, Tina Goldstein. The film features Eddie Redmayne as Newt, Katherine Waterston as Tina, and Dan Fogler as Jacob.

Reviews and ratings of the film have already been released online. IMDB gave the film an 8.2/10 rating, and the reviews from viewers are positive. Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a 74% approval rating, and the users of the site gave it outstanding reviews and an 88% approval rating.

But this is not the end of the world of magical creatures, wands, and wizards. In October 2014 filmmakers announced that the film would be the first in a trilogy, with the last installment to be released in 2020. However, J.K. Rowling confirmed this month that the “Fantastic Beasts” film would be the first in a series of 5 movies. Until then, Harry Potter fans are rushing to midnight screenings of the film, and await the next adventure.
